Kiwi Fish & Chips

Kiwi Fish & Chips began in a brand-new space in the Phillipe Starck-designed Tribeca complex in East Melbourne.

Our brand development brief was to create a logo and brand that could carry a uniquely New Zealand-style of fish and chips to the next level: potential franchise opportunities. Therefore, the new brand needed to have a far-reaching and future-proofed appeal for possible sale down the track.

After researching ways of evoking a distinctive New Zealand flavour (without cliché), we developed patterns from Maori fishhook shapes, plus a fresh, modern green. As well as the fish logo and signage, shoals of fish brand the glass around the interior surfaces, with the colour scheme carrying the brand throughout the space.
